Winter Exhibit: Folklore in the Forest

Wander through the Folklore in the Forest exhibit at the Waseca County History Center and discover the enchanting traditions of German, Scandinavian, and Irish cultures, all brought to life through beautifully decorated Christmas trees! 🌟
🌲 Highlights include:
A Clootie Wishing Tree that’s as interactive as it is charming! (Irish tradition 🎩🍀)
A German Cookie Recipe Tree filled with recipe cards you can take home and bake your own sweet treats! 🍪
Scandinavian Ornaments that capture the handcrafted warmth of Nordic holidays, as well as tales of the Nisse, gnomes from Nordic lands. ❄️
At the end of your journey through the forest, peer into a woodworker’s shop and experience the craftsmanship that brought local family traditions to life. 🛠️🎅
