“I can think of two occasions where my personal history in Waseca County helped people looking for family farms.  The first was a lady wanting to know the location of the farm that her family settled on.  When she shared her information I told her that it was a farm that I was "caretaker" on and also related.  She wanted directions to the farm and since it was my lunch time I offered to take her there.  The second was a family wanting to know where their family farm had been located in Iosco Township.  They were asking about the farm land that I own!

Other researchers are so excited when we can provide information about their relatives from our artifacts, photos and newspaper articles.  Finding the location of burials is also important to families.”
